There seems to be possibility of a relief with the Karnataka Government including Khatas other than BBMP in the list of acceptable documents for property registration! This means that an individual owner can proceed with the apartment sale if he has the CMC/TMC/Panchayat or other official Khata. The process of obtaining BBMP Khata can continue in parallel.

The process was tried by ApartmentAdda team and found to be very simple:

1. Go to the link: http://218.248.41.198/

2. Click on the relevant form – Form IV  or Form V

3. For Form IV (no changes from previous year), you are taken to a page where you need to enter SAS 2008-2009 Application No.

4. On clicking ‘Continue’, you come to the page where rest of the form can be filled in. The tax gets automatically calculated in this form. After filling the form you have the choice to make Online Payment which takes you to an IDBI payment gateway. Visa and Mastercard creditcards can be used and email address has to be provided.

That’s that! A pdf receipt is generated which you can print, the same receipt is also sent to the email address. You can also get the Original Signed Receipt from the ARO’s office on producing the Online Payment Receipt.

This indeed is a praiseworthy service from BBMP!

Note: When processing form IV for 09-10, note that one default popup appears about a ward mismatch. As long as you have entered your application number correctly, click on submit again and you will be taken to the filled up form IV. Cross check all details entered in there. Your 08-09 application number, your Khatha (K) number as entered in your earlier application, your name and street address, should all be there in the form.
